FAQ

Your questions, answered

At Narjis, we believe aesthetic treatments should never be about looking like someone else. They’re about looking refreshed, balanced and beautifully like you.

Anti-wrinkle & fillers

What’s the difference between anti-wrinkle injections & fillers?

Anti-wrinkle injections gently relax targeted muscles to soften the appearance of expression lines, helping the face look smoother and more refreshed.

Dermal fillers are used to restore or enhance volume and support in areas such as the lips, cheeks, chin and jawline.

Both treatments have different purposes — and your treatment plan is always personalised to you.

Will I still look natural?

Absolutely.

Our philosophy is subtle, balanced and refined. We don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach.

Every face is different, so we consider your individual features, proportions and goals before recommending treatment.

Does filler hurt?

Comfort is always important to us.

Most patients describe treatment as very manageable, and many fillers contain a local anaesthetic to help improve comfort during the procedure.

We’ll talk you through everything before we begin.

How long will my appointment take?

This depends on the treatment and areas being treated.

Your appointment includes time for consultation and assessment, so we never want you to feel rushed. Your safety and your individual treatment plan always come first.

How long will anti-wrinkle injections last?

Results vary between individuals, but anti-wrinkle injections commonly last around 3–4 months.

Over time, muscle movement gradually returns and you may choose to have a review or repeat treatment.

How long does filler last?

This depends on the area treated, the product used and your individual metabolism.

Some fillers can last many months or longer. During your consultation, we’ll explain what you can realistically expect from your specific treatment.

Will I swell after filler?

Some swelling, tenderness, redness or bruising can occur following filler treatment.

This is a normal potential part of the healing process, and the appearance of the treated area can change as it settles.

We’ll provide detailed aftercare advice so you know exactly what to expect.

When will I see my anti-wrinkle results?

Anti-wrinkle injections are not an instant treatment.

You’ll usually begin to notice changes over the following days, with the result developing progressively. A review around two weeks is commonly used to assess the final effect.

Can I have anti-wrinkle injections and filler together?

In some cases, yes.

They work in different ways and can be used as part of the same overall treatment plan when clinically appropriate.

Your practitioner will assess whether combining treatments is suitable for you.

I’ve never had aesthetics before — where do I start?

You don’t need to know what treatment you want.

Simply tell us what you’d like to improve or how you’d like to feel about your appearance. We’ll assess your features, listen to your goals and talk you through your options.

There is never any pressure to proceed.

Are there risks?

Yes. Like all medical aesthetic treatments, anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers have potential risks and side effects.

Your consultation is an important opportunity to discuss your medical history, suitability, expected results and potential complications before deciding whether to proceed.

How do I know what treatment is right for me?

Start with your face — not a treatment menu.

At Narjis, we look at your facial structure, proportions, movement and individual concerns before creating a personalised treatment plan.

Sometimes the most beautiful result is knowing when less is more.

Booking & consultations

Do I need a consultation first?

Every treatment at By Narjis begins with a bespoke consultation. We assess your features, discuss your goals honestly, and only recommend what will genuinely suit you — including, sometimes, less than you asked for.

How do I book?

Book online, message us on WhatsApp or call the clinic. We’ll answer your questions, advise honestly, and find you a convenient appointment at 17 Thayer Street, Marylebone.

Do you treat under-18s?

No. We only treat clients aged 18 and over, and we may ask for photo ID. By law, anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers can’t be given to anyone under 18 in England.
